OTN, a leading physician practice services company and one of the largest distributors of products and services to the community physician market, announced today that Harvard Pilgrim Health Care of Wellesley, Mass., has included OTN’s national specialty pharmacy, ivpcare, in its managed specialty pharmacy program in the therapeutic areas of fertility, hepatitis C, multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Under the agreement, ivpcare may dispense specialty medications to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s members via home delivery and give them the opportunity to participate in drug therapy management programs, such as ivpadhere(TM) and CycleTrack(TM). Through these programs, ivpcare’s pharmacists and nurses stay in close contact with patients to help ensure they properly administer their drug therapy and adhere to their treatment plan.

“Harvard Pilgrim Health Care is one of many national payors that have selected ivpcare to be a preferred provider of specialty pharmacy services,” said Von Best, president of ivpcare. “This is a testament to our longstanding reputation for providing outstanding customer service, disease management programs, patient assistance programs and other value-added services for patients, physicians and managed care organizations in the chronic care setting.”
