Study: Malpractice Worries Help Drive Health Costs

Side note: Study shows the real cost of medical malpractice lawsuits. Nearly one in four cardiologists surveyed admit to practicing defensive medicine because of fears of getting sued. We see physicians practicing CYA medicine as one of the main contributors to rising health insurance costs. Do we blame doctors for going down this road when dealing with patients……no we do not. There have been far too many medical malpractice cases where we have seen a doctor get thrown under the bus because they didn’t order a specific test.
