Cindy Dunn Joins MGMA Health Care Consulting Group as Senior Consultant

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Cynthia L. Dunn, RN, FACMPE has joined the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Health Care Consulting Group as a senior consultant. Her expertise in healthcare management encompasses information technology systems, business operations and revenue cycle management, medical office building and ambulatory surgery center construction, and strategic planning.

Dunn brings more than 24 years of practice management experience to MGMA, 18 of them as an administrator of two private medical practices, and six years in nursing management for a hospital-owned physician practice.

Dunn worked with MGMA as an independent consultant for three years, assisting clients with information systems and issues specific to orthopedic practices. She is a past president of MGMA’s Orthopaedic Practice Assembly and has consulted with orthopedic practices across the country.

Dunn is a member of the eHealth Initiative’s Blueprint Committee, Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE) supporting the Data Content Subgroup, and a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE). She is a registered nurse and holds a bachelor of science degree in healthcare administration from East Texas State University.
