Bill Filed in Florida to Limit Physician Charges

Senator Bill Posey has filed legislation in Tallahassee that would limit the amount of money that physicians can charge uninsured patients. Senate Bill 1756 focuses on uninsured patients with a net household income of less than $125,000. If successful the bill would limit Florida physicians from charging these uninsured patients any more than the lowest contracted rate that they currently accept in reimbursement from any insurer.
